Reflection

I have learned a lot after all of the work I have put in to my reasearch. It was very fun finding out what people had to say about slang words and what they mean and how much they used the words. Thank you for helping the with my research everyone that helped.

Recommendations

Based on my research I would recommend that you use more recent words being used by high school students today. Words like shawty, Hot,whats up, da bomb and other new words that students use.

My Survey Conclusion

I have come to my conclusion that the older the word the less people will use the word. If the word was used in the 1980s and early 1990s people now at my high school are less likely to use the words like All the way live, Vibe and Ain a thang.

My Research Goals

I want to know more about if people who use words in slang a lot use proper english when it is necessary. Mostly because you do not hear proper language used by certain people when necessary. For example people at my school will use improper language while talking to me and other adults, which gives me the reason to believe that they won't know how to talk when they are applying for jobs or being interviewed for something important. 

My Language Beliefs

I currently believe that language should be taught properly to students. When proper English is
taught it prepares students for things like job interviews and important meetings. I believe that this belief is true because a lot of jobs require you to speak proper English.
